Jay Shapiro, Principal

Jay Shapiro has over 25 years of experience in building design and construction. Prior to launching JS&A in 2002, he was Vice President for Heery International - a national Architecture, Engineering and Program Management firm - with responsibility for metro NY/NJ operations.

From 1988-1996, he was Vice President and Northern New Jersey Manager for Tishman Construction, one of the nation's premier Construction Management firms. He has successfully delivered projects large and small, including commercial, institutional (K-12, Higher Ed, Healthcare), and multi-family residential.

A licensed Professional Engineer in New York and New Jersey, he holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Queen's University, Canada, an MSCE (Construction Management) from NJIT, and an MBA from New York University.
